Ingredients
For the Ice Cream Base
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup Strawberry Hip Syrup
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Optional Mix-Ins
- Fresh diced strawberries
Instructions
Prepare the Ice Cream Base
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves.
- Add 1/2 cup of the Strawberry Hip Syrup and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust sweetness with more syrup if desired.
Churn the Ice Cream
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes).
- If desired, fold in fresh diced strawberries during the last 5 minutes of churning.
Freeze and Serve
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-4 hours to firm up.
- Scoop, serve, and enjoy the sweet taste of homemade strawberry ice cream!
