Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Base

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Strawberry Hip Syrup
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Optional Mix-Ins

  • Fresh diced strawberries

Instructions

 Prepare the Ice Cream Base

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of the Strawberry Hip Syrup and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust sweetness with more syrup if desired.

Churn the Ice Cream

  1. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20-25 minutes).
  2. If desired, fold in fresh diced strawberries during the last 5 minutes of churning.

Freeze and Serve

  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-4 hours to firm up.
  2. Scoop, serve, and enjoy the sweet taste of homemade strawberry ice cream!
